Support programmes
A problem with previous support programmes is that they have not sufficiently resulted in commercial products. Therefore, the new programming period 2014 – 2020 puts greater emphasis on the project’s commercial performance than before. For this reason, it is now more important to have a business plan of high quality attached to or as a foundation to the application. It is important to take the business plan as seriously as the idea (innovation) you have.
Business Plan
It is just as important to have a good business plan when applying for public financing as it is for securing venture capital. You should see the administrative officer at the EU Commission as a person investing venture capital when writing your application. Although, for the EU Commission, societal aspects and goals are just as important as the business and commercial aspect.
